Senate won't bother reading health care bill
Senate won't bother reading health care bill
They may skim it, but Harry Reid refuses to allow a week to pass so that all the public can review the bill - much as they did with the stimulus bill. All this despite the promise Obama of a 5-day wait before any bill was signed into law. picked by 2manyusernames 5 months ago

Is it really unreasonable to require by law that anyone voting on a bill must have had sufficient time tor read, review, and to fully understand the bill they are voting on?

Yes... especially when it's a holiday weekend.

Please, PLEASE read it before voting! Lord knows you have the time.

Maybe they should put it on audiobook for the Senators to put in their iPods?

They don't give enough time to read it, because then it excuses them for voting for a bad bill. They can claim "I wasn't give enough time to read it."

Shame on Nancy Pelosi. Shame on Harry Reid.

and if Obama signs this bill without giving the 5 days he promise, Shame on him.

This congress is pissing me off more than Bush ever did. And that's saying a lot.
