In a way, it's kinda good that MJ died now. 2 words: Fat Elvis.

as a side note, 400 million in debt is insane.

for comparison:

Mike Tyson, who earned and then lost a fortune, went bankrupt with 27 million in debt.

MC Hammer, 33 million.

Kim Basinger's idiotic idea to buy a town and then (wisely) withdraw from crapheap Boxing Helena left her with 20 million in debt.

All three of the above are legendary cautionary tales about how not to behave with your own money and all three combined aren't even a quarter of how much MJ owed.

400 million in debt is ludicrous, absolute madness.

You could buy a significant portion of a major city with that much money.

What the hell did he spend it on?
