it is absolutely amazing how little this surprises me.

It's like how we love the pretty lions but hate the ugly hyenas, despite hyenas having loving family structures and lions regularly killing and eating their own young.

This is not to levy human morality on animals, I'm just saying - humans tend to favor cuteness, beauty, and what they perceive to be human behavior.

Dolphins are about the only species we are PROUD of NOT eating.

f**k the sharks, they are mean and ugly. If sharks were dolphins, we'd give a s**t about them.

Man. I had no idea about how 'dolphin safe' tuna was actually caught. I remember being a pesky pre-teen, begging my mum to buy that stuff and 'save the dolphins'. But its messed up that endangered species are dying so that less dolphins are killed.
