Reddit is taking a page out of Fark's and others playbooks, selling spots on its page. Most users of sites such as Plime don't like traditional ads. There are companies who pay people to secretly post articles to increase their traffic. Take out the middleman and allow for sponsored articles = potentially millions of $$$$

You can explore the collection by location, subject, date, publisher, author and projection. They give virtual tours, select a map of the month and have a section called Maps in the News, where they profile Darfur and Iraq.

In an effort to make Plime a worldwide phenomenon, we are joining up with the Japanese version to have a multi-cultural tree of links with an automatic translator between English and Japanese.
The website will be down for 2-3 weeks starting at midnight tomorrow and all karma levels WILL be reset to level the playing field for our newest Plimates!
