Tables turned on Gaffney, SC serial killer
Tables turned on Gaffney, SC serial killer
Finds himself on the losing end of a shootout with police. Dead on the spot! No lengthy trial, endless appeals, or cost to keep him in jail. (Some people that I know are VERY relieved.) picked by tigertony 5 months ago

That was an amazingly poorly written news story. I still haven't a clue about what sequence of events led up to the "potential" serial killer being shot and killed. Narrative was all over the map. Only the final sentence even referred to the encounter with Burris. They got a call about an SUV in the morning, they towed it at night, there were two other people there. I'm still completely confused. What happened?

I was thinking the same thing. From the way I read the article it felt like the police were shooting the guy just for looking like the suspect. Hopefully a more coherent article will come out soon, and someone will link it here.

Doesn't sound like a serial killer at all, sounds like a spree killer.

There's a huge, huge difference. "Serial" is more media friendly.
