Out of curiosity, did anyone actually watch the video more than once?

Kinda looked to me like he was introducing those men to Medvedev.

Another question I have, is why does this type of thing always have to become a total political s**t-storm?

Okay, some of you hate Obama for whatever reasons, some of us hate Bush for whatever reasons. I think that we are all pretty aware as to what side of the fence we are on and also know that no one is probably ever going to get us to switch teams, so why bother? Seems like such a waste of time and energy.

It always ends up with someone saying something that slightly riles up the next person so they say something in response and then it turns into an all out attack. One that I feel deserves a downvote.

People, THEY ARE ALL BAD, THEY ARE ALL FULL OF s**t. Just some worse than others.

Coming in here and yelling at each other isn't going to do any good.

There are 3 sides to politics. Which you choose to believe is your reality. Doesn't make it necessarily right or wrong and doesn't make me any less smart or rational.

The comment/opinion was DIRECTLY aimed at those that downvoted shuallyo's opinion/comment. It was at -145 when I chimed in.
My "intelligent and rational" comment had no political label. Just pointing out that plime has (Both (D) and (R)) members that don't resort to downvoting other members just because they disagree.

I just watched the video again, and to me it looked more like this:
Obama is introducing Medvedev to people.
When Obama gestures to one guy, the guy reaches out his hand to shake, but realizes that Obama is only gesturing and pulls it back. This causes Obama to smirk which looks kind of like an offended expression.

I think Medvedev's reaction to the people looks more like he is meeting them for the first time rather than introducing them to Obama.

I know. Some people are unable to be critical of Obama for anything... even when he does the exact same things Bush sometimes... of which Bush was criticized.

You're totally right. I'm being downvoted simply cause I disagree with Obama. Yes my comment was snarky.... but I was simply stating how this "bending over diplomacy" only feeds the ego of tyrants and portrays the US negatively to our "enemies."

I could not bring myself to vote for Obama, just so you are aware. I hate the commonly held belief that he is the Messiah. And beyond that, I hate how the media seems to cut him some slack, or whatever bad media he receives is immediately downplayed as an unwarranted attack by the Right. Some of them are, to be sure, but scrutiny is never wrong and should always be encouraged.

No, Hoosker is NOT right. I downvoted you because you came out swinging. Spewing your "Oh no, don't speak ill of Obama" "Why did you treat Bush so bad" bullcrap. This isn't about that at all.

This is about our president being snubbed when he was a visitor in another country. YOU should be bothered by this, no matter what your feelings of Obama.
