U2 360° World Tour Criticized for Carbon Footprint
U2 360° World Tour Criticized for Carbon Footprint
U2, a band famous for their desire to save the planet and for their contributions to third world aid, have come under fire for their carbon footprint. The band's world tour this year will generate enough carbon to equal a trip for the four band members to fly first class to Mars, a journey of 34 million miles. picked by Bingo 4 months ago

What? A big enough carbon footprint to go to Mars? Do they mean enough energy to go to Mars? This whole article acts like carbon is an energy source.

That makes no sense. Enough energy to send a crew of four to Mars, from Earth's surface? At what speed? That makes a big difference.

Do people just pull these comparisons out of their asses?

it is a common reaction of people who do NOTHING to solve a problem to criticize the people who are attempting a solution by saying they "Aren't doing enough".
