When I was in elementary/junior high, I remember I had friends whose parents got welfare, but they had cable, and bigger TVs than we did.  We actually only ever had second hand TV's and other furniture from relatives untill I was highschool age.  Maybe that's why we didn't need government help though.  My dad knew what was worth spending the money on.</i></div>I've never had cable and I just recently got my first bed sheets. My dad knew what was worth spending the money on.</i></div>Yeah, I really have to make sure I have enough money for essentials like utlitites and rent and all before I'm stuffing my face with lobster. I'm disabled, and I manage to work (a crappy job, but still) so my sympathy is somewhat limited. There's almost always SOMETHING you can do.
