That's pretty cool! You cna see the same effect (though not at clearly with the colour contrast) around Cape Town in South Africa.

There the Atlantic and the Indian Ocean meet, and due to the temperature differences between the two oceans you have a long line that defines the boundry.

The junction of the Kentucky River and Dix River do the same thing. The KY river is silty, while the Dix is not. Kakana will vouch for it.. he saw it, didn't you brudder?
