 Polaroid Cameras are Back!
Polaroid Cameras are Back!
Polaroid dead? Not yet! Urban Outfitters has teamed up with The Impossible Project to sell "a limited edition 700 hand-numbered deadstock Polaroid camera kits," which will include the much sought after and nearly extinct Polaroid Instant Film, and the Polaroid ONE600 Classic. picked by suebe 3 months ago

I like polaroid. It is, in my opinion, still very useful.

I can see where some times it might serve a good purpose but in general Polaroid cameras and lenses were of very poor quality.

The images will not last, the film emulsion damages very easily, (some water based glues actually melt the emulsion even when applied on the back side,) there is no negative so copies are second generation images. In addition the per image cost is expensive by comparason to digital printing.

Considering the quality of todays digital cameras and printers I can't see why they are bothering.

I bought a Polaroid when our daughter was born to satisfy all the relatives that wanted a picture yesterday. If anybody wants it, PM me... it's yours for the postage.

I've owned polaroids.

It's too bad that the pictures fade. Although...now I can actually scan them. Back in the days if you wanted a copy you had to send them to a lab. NFW for these photos. O_o

I use a Polaroid to capture action pictures of me using my Commodore 64 computer while listening to my favorite 8 tracks.
