Presumably the goat was a reference to the Billy Goat curse, put on the Cubs in 1945 by Billy Goat tavern owner William Sianis after the team refused to allow his pet goat, Murphy, inside Wrigley Field for Game 4 of the World Series. The Cubs haven't won a World Series since 1908. picked by suebe 8 months ago 1 comments edit related share sports |
