Yeah... this is gonna suck...

But there is hope:

Disney said the boards of both companies have approved the transaction, but it will require an antitrust review and the approval of Marvel shareholders.
Hopefully, the Marvel Shareholders won't approve...

There is really no reason they shouldn't. Suggestions that Spidey and Mickey will be combined are silly; Disney can make far more money by sticking with the original branding and treating them as separate entities.

MGM does fine, and that's always been in in-house operation.

I think the spidey vs mickey is more tongue-in-cheek... nobody expects that... but Disney has a way of destroying any actor that signs up with them... remember Cuba Gooding Jr? How about when Eddie Murphy was funny? Disney is the anti-mater of the entertainment biz... most of their "original" stuff sucks so bad the chairman's children dont watch it... This could be very, very bad for Marvel fans...

Dunno bout that... did you see "Haunted Mansion"?? and the "Nutty Professor" movies... slightly funny... if yer on ether, and he was contractually obligated to do them all... so I CAN blame them... even if they aren't SOLELY to blame :)
