 Jackson: 'Hitler was a showman'
Jackson: 'Hitler was a showman'
Michael Jackson is alleged to have praised Nazi tyrant Adolf Hitler in a shocking interview - branding the evil dictator a "genius" and a "showman".

The explosive taped interviews have been revealed by the late pop star's good pal Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, who recorded a string of candid chats with the singer during their friendship. picked by DAVEthefish 2 months ago

Good pal, but he taped their conversation?

That doesn't sound right, does it?

He's working on a book. Was, with Jackson's permission (the Today show said so this morning).

"genius" and a "showman".
Both of these things are generally accepted to be true. Why is this an issue?
Being a genius and/or a showman does not mean you are NOT evil.

I don't think the issue is about if it's true (I also think so) or not but that it sounds like a praise. Why was he talking about Hitler anyway?

It's ok to praise someone for their "pros" even if they are "bad" people. No one is 100% evil.
For example, I can say that despite being an murderous psycho, Charles Manson had a way with the ladies.
See?

sure, it should not be perceived as an issue that way.
[Disclaimer: I agree he's an evil dude]
[says good thing about evil dude]

anyway, I don't mind what MJ said here... I'm a bit curious about the context though.

just felt like arguing :)

He seems to identify with them on a certain level. --aas a person who has transformative pain in their life. He wanted to help them. It actually shows some insight that he can respect their strengths and weigh them with their deeds.

He was talking about being able to touch someones life and make them good even though they're evil. I'm guessing Micheal believed no one was above being turned toward the path of good so he was taking the extreme example and showing how even Hitler had redeeming qualities.
