Scandalous Evidence Mounts: Letterman Had Human Emotions, Relationships
Will David Letterman ever live down the shame of being the first American to sleep with someone at work? Let's hope not!

My 6th grade teacher once told me a story about how he was walking on some street in New York close to the studio, and Dave burst through a door with two women on his arms while wearing white gloves. He got into a waiting limo and sped off. My teacher asked the assistant to Letterman if he was like this all the time and the assistant just shrugged and said "yes."

He shouldn't lose his job over this. Come on. Like no one has had sex with their co-workers before. If the lady has no problem with it, and is not yelling "sexual harassment" nobody else should either.

Love how he makes light of the situation. More power to ya Letterman!

I haven't had sex with my co-workers.

But it's not from the lack of trying!

They weren't really "co-workers". He is considered their superior, boss, etc. etc. That kind of puts a different spin on things. If he gave out bonuses, or pay raises, to the ones he was sleeping with, but not to ones he was not, that's a whole new can of worms.

Co-worker on co-worker is one thing, boss on subordinate is viewed entirely different.

Hey, if the ladies he was sleeping with have no problem, why is it such a big deal? The only ones who have the problem are the ones not involved. Jealousy maybe?

Legally, it's alot more complicated than that.

It can create a bad work environment for everyone else. If the women were promoted, anyone in the office may feel it was the relationship, rather than job skills that got them ahead. That everyone knew it was going creates a sexualized work place, and that's not comfortable for anyone. Sexual harassment is challenging--it doesn't just mean person A hit on person B and person B was unhappy--it can also mean person A hit on person B, who flirted back outrageously and person C had to watch or hear it all from their desk.

It's a stupid, stupid thing to have done. I'd shocked if there wasn't a policy regarding interoffice relationships that was violated.

Many of us think he's funny, and his ratings are through the roof.

I'm guessing you haven't bothered watching the other late night shows then; Dave is by far one of the best.

My opinion on this whole mess is: Who gives a s**t? Why is this news? Let CBS make a decision and do whatever they feel is right. As far as harassment goes, if NO ONE has filed (that includes the women he was NOT involved with) then I don't see what the issue is... But I don't work for CBS and I don't give a damn,.
