No idea, sorry. Haven't noticed any news-source follow-up on the story, and probably for good reason: nobody cares; it was a 10th-page local news item, at best.

What made it supposedly newsworthy (and, I hope, post-worthy here) was that the underlying story isn't about the unfortunate driveway fire, but the tangential introduction of Google's Street View images for Toronto into the context of the article.

I count the publication of this article to be 3rd-rate journalistic opportunism/underhanded advertising.

The fire occurred in the summer of 2009 while Google was collecting their images. The cited article that reports it was posted in Oct '09, which "coincidentally" is when Google released Street View for Toronto.
