Pictures of Nazi death camps have always disturbed me. But growing up, in Hebrew school, we were forced to see the images. Over and over again.

The bigger issue which is only cursorily touched on in the article is that the Nazi program followed roughly their belief system about humans in general; hierarchical strata of humans, some useful, some not. Their policies flowed from that fundamental belief. And it is essential if you want to make any comparisons about any other program. Simply implying that market inefficiencies lead to catastrophic death panels is not the same as saying someone's policies are like the Nazis.

It isn't difficult to find these people. They're all over the Internet...on YouTube, message boards, Twitter...you name it. I've seen dozens of them, not to mention all the signs at Teabagger rallies.

Freud's defense mechanisms are one of the few theories of his that hold up adequately. They're even featured in the DSM-IV.
