Supposedly there was another plywood box attached to the bottom of the balloon that fell off. I hope the kid is okay.

Update claiming a deputy saw something fall from the aircraft, along with a picture of what they think is the object falling. They're looking in a specific area.

That is one hell of a conspiracy theory. I honestly doubt that's the case. Especially since they could possibly be charged with neglect/manslaughter with this scenario as well.

They searched the house twice and did not find him in the house.

He was in a cardboard box in the attic of the garage. Easy to miss.

It's very common for children to hide because they think they're going to get in trouble. He may have released the balloon that everyone was working so hard on and thought they would be mad at him.
