Strange story.
Presumably they confessed because doing so allowed for shorter jail sentences than what it could have been. Perhaps they were led to believe that they would receive even lighter sentences than they did?

Don't know enough about the case or the evidence but it is very weird.

One has to wonder if she is lying when she claims it never happened but you have to wonder why.

This is what I thought initially. I can't imagine, though, the amount of physical evidence they would have against these seven that could be so incriminating that they felt they needed to plead guilty even though, according to Megan's statements now, they weren't.

From what I remember of this case, Ms. Williams is mentally handicapped. So, yes, I'd say the perpetrators are still guilty.

It seems very odd that all of them would have confessed if it wasn't true. These are pretty harsh allegations. How was there physical evidence if it didn't happen?

Without any more info, one can only look at her picture and wonder; She has the expression of a victim, an empty expression.

This is just a thought but maybe its a case of Stockholm Syndrome - falling in love with your captor(s) - and she's now saying that it was all a lie, just so she could save whoever it was she fell in love with?

She has some kind of mental disorder. My thought is that she feels sorry for them having to suffer such lengthy terms in prison.
