Empty, spent shells. From blank rounds.

You could literally set them on FIRE and they wouldn't hurt anyone.

A f*cking sharpened pencil is more dangerous.

WHEN will people use their f*cking brains?

Actually, even if they were buckshot, and unspent, you could set them on fire, with shot and powder, and without the benefit of a shotgun barrel they wouldn't likely do much harm to anyone, any more than a fistful of high-dollar firecrackers.

Exploded, raw ammo is generally useless without being squeezed through a barrel to gain velocity.

You'd get random shot fired everywhere, whenever they go off, but nothing like a directed shotgun wound, for the most part.

I wonder how long before there is a zero tolerance policy regarding irregular verbs?

*lols at be or avior being beaten into regularity or banned from the school*

While I think that zero tolerance is usually a bad idea, I can understand where the school is coming from on this one.

How would you feel if a student arrived at school with clean/new albeit empty liquor bottles?

I wouldn't care as long as the student wasn't intoxicated. Empty containers won't hurt anyone.

I think I speak for the rest of the group when I say "What are you talking about?"

You could actually do more damage with an empty liquor bottle than used shotgun shells. If the liquor bottle were glass, of course.

She's been out in the wilderness for an extended amount of time. You have to excuse her.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. Like the shells, they don't do anything. It's just a bottle, like the shells are just metal. They cannot harm anyone any more than anything you could find already on school property. Especially so long as the student was not intoxicated.

I just don't see the issue here. Zero-tolerance policies are lazy and don't help at all. It's something that makes for great feel-good legislation (or the like) but that's all it is.

Do any of you have any idea how much a shotgun shell to the eye hurts???? Huh?? <sarcasm warning>

I think the real issue here is the fact that she was hitting on her teacher...How does she know hes into that kinda stuff...Sounds like someone is working on a case of the cooties

Almost any object can be used as a weapon... I dare someone to tell me of a school item that can't.

All you need is a little creativity...

Ban everything!

Wet noodles are safe. I dont see how you could hurt someone with a wet noodle. Then again, I may not be creative enough.
