I recall seeing this book, or one quite similar to it at a Barnes & Noble some time last year. I was surprised to find it in the 'children's 'section (I was looking for a book for my nephew), instead of the 'religion'. As a geoscientist, I read it and had a really good laugh. It also stated that dinosaurs don't exist today because they couldn't fit on Noah's ark. Different strokes, I guess.

I want a government that protects our basic rights and keeps us safe. I don't care what the leaders of this country believe, but I don't want them trying to push their beliefs on me.

I personally don't care what the Founding Fathers had to say. That was forever ago. Things change. Heck, women use to not be allowed to own property.

Kinda-sorta. Since it's almost impossible to raise a child in an environment perfectly free of religious thought, and thus have a control, it's very hard to determine with hard evidence (vs case studies, anecdotal evidence) whether religion is completely the fault of the VMAT2 gene or if VMAT2 loads the gun and environment pulls the trigger. At the moment, I'm awaiting more studies before I come down firmly on the deterministic side.
