3 months? is that all.. If her friends didn't pick her up it is entirly possible some less savery characters would... shame shame shame

A ticket? Up to 3 months and a fine? Put here in jail and figure out the balance for her meds before she can get out!

This is no longer a day and age where you can punish your child by making them walk home, and I don't think that was ever safe, legal or appropriate on an Interstate.

And for playing poorly? Even if it had been an argument that got out of control (since it started with hitting), "Dear Old Mom" is supposed to be the adult and should know better.

Over a soccer game? This seems like it probably isn't the first abuse or (since there is no real penalty) the last. Where these people so disappointed in their own athletic careers as children that they must punish the kids for being?

Parents like this just PISS. ME. OFF!!! Steelshooter has it right - trying to vicariously live the athletic career she never had through her own child. This is just such crappy parenting and will absolutely ruin this girl's enjoyment of athletic activities.

When kids are not allowed to relax and enjoy the game because they know every move, play, and decision will be analyzed and criticized, eventually there will be a total shutting down just to escape the pressure.

Nothing like having your mom kick you while you're down, in this case literally as well as figuratively. I wish I could smack this woman upside her dumb head.

This is like a mom telling her little girl she didn't win a pageant because she was fat, when the mom is like 300 lbs.

We all have our issues, but some issues are just plain wrong.
