Didn't see much in the description that says "bad cat" just "clueless cat owner".

Maybe, if they keep recalling dog food, I could give him a home. I bet my dogs wouldn't have too much trouble ensuring he doesn't scratch anybody else....

While the owner(s) do seem a bit clueless, I think the cat is also somewhat mental.

My last cat, Dinpuddy, was abandoned by her mother when she was about 2 weeks old and I had to bottle feed her. She was always a bit deranged, and I've heard similar things from other people who have had to raise kittens like that.

Dinpuddy hated everyone with a passion, except for me and my husband, because we were the ones who had raised her, so she had some weird semi-loyalty to us. Even with her loyalty, she would get revenge on whichever of us pissed her off by peeing/pooping on the appropriate person's pillow or side of the bed. It wasn't a daily occurrence, and the vet said she wasn't sick, but you would get "the look" when you did something she didn't approve of and had to be very careful that night when getting into bed.

Dinpuddy also hated when we had visitors. If she didn't growl and hide from them, she would hiss and try to bite. I guess it was a good thing most of our friends were local and didn't stay over at our house, because she would wait until the middle of the night and pee on our guests.

When we had our first child, Dinpuddy loathed anything about her and hid around the house for about 6 months. It took about TWO FREAKING YEARS for the damn cat to give up trying to scare off our daughter and start making peace. The cycle was repeated with the births of our other two children.

We also suspected that Dinpuddy had OCD, because she couldn't stand finding little things on the floor, and would pick them up to drop all over our bed at night, while yowling like the items were killing her.

I could go on for a while about the insane things that cat did, but I think I'll end it here.
