Never needed a belt so badly that I would skin an animal myself!

If we had ever found a dead alligator, I'm sure my son would have taken it home, boiled it, and mounted the skeleton.

We have had a few similar occurrences, though, fortunately only with heads of dead cattle and (whole) dead fruit bats. I'll spare you-all the gory details.

But we are not into sporting alligator skin belts, shoes, handbags, etc.

I would stay away from an alligator even of it's dead.

I wish I could upload one or two of my own pictures, then I could show you how my kids and I have sat on live crocodiles in northern Ghana. The locals there feed them chicken and they do not grab kids or goats or sheep that enter the same water.

Massive crocodiles, too - certainly about 6 ft long..

I'm not kidding, in case you are wondering.

You sat on a live croc? You are daring! I don't think the crocs in Australia are that friendly for people to ride on them. I've heard news of them eating people! Luckily they are in the NT and not where I am.
