First of all, the church should have their tax-free status revoked for such political actions. They are not acting as a church.

Second of all, I would get the soldiers, their families and all other interested parties to protest and picket the church, and their members. When the member is at his work place, see how he feels when he is being protested against.

The Westboro Baptist Church. These pukes were at my son's high school graduation. All because the school allowed a gay/straight alliance club. My son was valedictorian. We talked about mentioning them and agreed not to give them any recognition.

I agree with 2many. They should lose their tax free status immediately retroactive to when they started spewing their misguided political rhetoric. Not only would that probably bankrupt them, it would put other churches on notice.

It's not even as though they have a valid and well formed platform. (Not that that has ever stopped anyone from protesting). There is a group of people that are destroying this country. It's the uninformed people, the sheep that do no thinking or research of their own but merely hear someone else's twisted and uninformed stance and adopt it without knowing anything about what they're standing up for or against. This is the category these people fall into.

If Christians had an Al-Quida group that killed innocent people because of twisted leaders' persuasion, then this church and those like it (because, believe me...there are several more) would be it.

This group is the worst perversions of Christianity. They claim to take the whole Bible litterally, but anyone can see that their teachings do not reflect Christian teaching or the Bible in any way. Christianity is all about love and forgiveness, and this group is all about hate and vengence.

Christianity 101: love your neighbour. I guess they missed that.

i can understand if you morally object to a war, but people need to understand that there beef should be with the government not the soldier who is only doing there job.
The other thing is, is that there is a time and a place to express your disatification, a funeral is not one of them.
