"Drive-by Downloads" - the new Internet threat?
Now that consumers are getting a handle on spam and infected junk mail, they have a new problem to worry about. Malicious code embedded in many web pages will quietly download programs to your computer. Google ran a couple billion pages through a filter and over 4.5 million tripped the alarm. picked by BrownTrout 3 years ago

I'm wondering if that's how my laptop got so infected. It's been screwed up since 4/28/07 - I found all kinds of trojan horses, I've downloaded AVG antivirus, spyshooter, etc etc. I'm finding new stuff every day. I still can't get online with the laptop, despite having it sterilized completely as of yesterday. It may be time for the Geek Squad.

Yeah, same here. I just thought it was that WoWo Addon I DLed.

Still, I didn't have a serious problem and this was the first time LiveOneCare didn't work, so I'm pretty happy.

Especially for my new kid...
