All of those movies --pictured--were much older and back then, who knew we would have the pleasure of repeat viewing thanks to wonder of modern technology. Which means, they had the option to "borrow" from previous drawings. Busted.

Not just Disney. If you look real closely, you can see reused animation in The Flintstones, too. I kid you not.

Very interesting. I wonder if in some cases it was not the actual artwork that was being recycled, but the reference films of live actors?

It's become a common practice to reuse backgrounds/sequences/frames to save costs, it has nothing to do with laziness and it's not only Disney that does it.
