Great find! I watched this the other day. I am glad Michael Moore redeemed himself from Fahrenheit 9/11. The movie isn't as in-your-face since it is mostly testimonials from people. It is not entirely objective, but it is well done nonetheless. It is one of the saddest things I've seen in a long time. I definitely recommend you all curl up next to your computers for this one. Or...uh...see it in the theatres...?

Excellent film. I'd probably be dead without the Canadian health care system.

Do I really need to see his film to understand how bad our medical system is? My family barely gets any insurance and over half the kids in my state don't have any at all.

It is more for those who do not understand how bad the system is.

I will place comments while I watch this movie. So this might mean SPOILERS if you haven't gone through the movie.

EDIT1

Christ, the amount of deseases you can't have before even being allowed to be insured. Insurances companies here are not allowed to deny someone in this way.

Insurance if done correctly, is NEVER profitable.
Only in the US do they expect every company to make a profit. Insurance companies thus can only make money, over the bodes of others (literally)

EDIT2

Why is the US so damn afraid of everything that is "Social", even though alot of things are under goverment control (Police, Fire department, mail).

EDIT3

Love the Cuba bit. Cuba might be the exact opposite of the US. No freedom of speech, market, and the "share" mentality, but at least there healthcare is free. This does not mean that the quality of the treatment is better then the US, but it beats NO treatment at all.

EDIT4
The video is pulled, but I only missed the last 5 to ten minutes.

I found this on another site yesterday and was glad to see it. Although Moore does put a huge bias in there, I love his presentation. Great little flick. :)

It might look biased, but he only presents the facts.

facts can still be portrayed with a bias.

Maybe. But he only asks questions in his documentary. "Why don't people have medical insurrance", "Why are insured people not treated, even though they have "full coverage"", "Why are people refused insurrance". Then he shows the answer. And the answer is 100 percent true, because if it is otherwise, those insurrance companies will sue him for slander. All the material he uses comes from official US Goverment data.

In that respect, I have found Michael Moore to be quite good in showing "The Truth". And the real truth sometimes is different from what others "think" is the truth.

I have not seen this video so I can't say, I just don't like him. This may be all well and true (I'm sure it is) but I still doubt it isn't biased.
