My brother once answered the telephone and it was a telemarketer. It was absolutely ridiculous how many of them were calling. Anyway, he decided to have some fun with the hundredth one and said that when asked if his parents were home he said they were dead and hung up. Seemed harmless until their credit cards were inactivated:/

I left ₤30 in an Abbey account nearly forty years ago when I left for Canada! I bet the silly buggers have given it away by now. (Probably used up in fees I wouldn't doubt).
