 NationStates game
NationStates game
A free nation simulation game. Build a nation and run it according to your own warped political ideals. Create a Utopian paradise for society's less fortunate or a totalitarian corporate police state.... picked by DrNothing 2 years ago

Can't believe this hasn't surfaced here before. Great little time waster, at only about 10 to 15 minutes a day...

Sounds similar to Red Alert and Warcraft. I love to play those sort of games where I can build things.

It's all text based, but still fun in small spurts. It's an ongoing thing. Similar to watching your Plime links' karma raise or fall over time... They also have a large and very active Forum.

Well, I like to see the actual mining and chopping instead of just text. I like my little men picking berries in Warcraft ^_^

I'm more of a Age of Empires/Rise of Nations RTSer. I've tried Warcraft, but I just don't think it's as good as the other RTSs out there. I love WoW though. :-D

Oh yeah. I think it is AoE. My memory isn't so good. Haven't played it in many years. I have AoE Expansion - The Rise of Rome that I haven't even open the box yet til this day. I don't want to get addicted again.

This is old. My son's nation from my blog:
Commonwealth of FarLeftCoast by ElSuper

The ever-expanding commonwealth of FarLeftCoast

The Commonwealth of Farleftcoast
"I'm the captain of the gravy train."

UN Category: Inoffensive Centrist Democracy
Civil Rights:
Very Good Economy:
Good Political Freedoms:
Good

Location: Niveks Kr3w
The Commonwealth of Farleftcoast is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate population of 284 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Prime commercial land is being swamped with archaeological teams, recent protests against birds flying too low have resulted in bloodshed, the government seizes all major gold finds, and several citizens have complained about scientists abducting their pets for experimentation. Crime is well under control. Farleftcoast's national animal is the bronsted-lowry, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the milk dud.

Farleftcoast is ranked 7th in the region and 106,315th in the world for Rudest Citizens

Nice! How long's he been doing this? Yeah, I never said it was new, but I didn't see it in the archives, so I figured 'new' is a relative term. Are spanking fresh things preferred, I assume, even over new to Plime, but long existing off-site items? That WOULD make sense, I imagine.
