"no Transformers 2"? I guess I'll have to wait for the 3rd part.
I'm not against Bay, but I don't think people really suffered from watching Transformers not from Blu-ray.

What about those of us that love VHS and Beta formatting? Hey can I get this on Laser Disk? Don't forget the rest of us!

Michael Bay: "Blu-ray sucks!!"
The real truth in the muck. $900 for a Blu-ray player, and they cannot even spell correctly? Versus $200 for a HD-DVD player, it's a no brainer.

Blu-Ray players are actually as low as $400 online now. They are also a bit more advanced than HD DVD. If you really want to split hairs, Blu-Ray is currently selling more than twice as many as HD DVD. Sounds like a no brainer to me...

I'll just never support Sony and another failed attempt by them to have media dominance: Beta-max, Laser Disc, Mini Disc, and a host of codecs that were made to "replace" the popularity of MP3 files. I just cannot see how it could be better, with so many misses, but I guess, if you swing enough, eventually you'll hit one.

Your quote of Michael Bay was cut short and therefor in the wrong context. The actual quote is:

Michael Bay: For them to deny people who have Blu-ray sucks!
No Bill O'Reilly action here please!

The problem with this argument is Sony never shared those technologies with any other company. With Blu-Ray, Sony has given a slice of Blu-Ray Tech. to any company who wants to jump on board. For those older formats, companies had to pay big bucks to Sony for their titles, not with Blu-Ray. But, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
