My mom hated the fact that for the first couple months of my pregnancy, I called my daughter "the parasite". That sounds really mean, I'm sure, but the morning-noon-and-night sickness and fatigue of the first trimester didn't exactly make me feel warm and fuzzy, even though I was happy about having a baby.

The fact that he said sorry for no apparent reason, and the fact that at the same time he posted the score dropped exactly 10 points, I'd say it was pretty obvious.

As for down voting his comment, I did that too, if you're going to down vote a post, at least say why. I will gladly remove his down vote when he states why he down voted the topic.

Taking it as real news is what makes it funny.
A simple calling a fetus a parasite isn't humorous.
Calling it a parasite and seeing people get all "eeewwwed" out by it makes it humorous.

No, you misundestand. I was saying it shouldn't be filed under humor. It should be filed under wtf? or health. Use shorturl or similar to hide the link.
As I said, 90% of the humor of Onion articles is people believing them.

I used to have loads of fun posting them in another site where they allowed the posting of the entire article, not just a link. I would post the article, embed the pictures and hide the source so it didn't show as Onion.

There were always some people who would get all offended or disgusted because they would take the article as legit.
