Not a tough enough sentence. People who abuse animals should be held to no higher standard than if the reverse were the case. If the cat had attacked him, the animal would be put to death, for being an animal. Why, if a human displays these "animal" instincts, is the human not more severely punished?

Even if you don't care about cats it doesn't take a genius to know that this is a bad person. People that disregard an animals life for reasons like that are just as dangerous to humans as they are to animals.

What in the world is wrong with people? The killing of the cat makes me ill, but the pitiful sentence the guy received is enough to make me even sicker. No wonder people think they can get away with harming animals. They can!
