 Loose Change
Loose Change [video]
Some people think the US government perpetrated the 9/11 attacks. Loose Change is a video detailing these thoughts.

Don't forget to watch side-by-side with the Loose Change Guide, which picks up on all the video's outrageous claims and mistakes. picked by TheStep 2 years ago

In my opinion, they're wrong. And they're even more wrong to make these outrageous claims whilst dedicating the video to the memory of those who died.

I agree there, they are wrong. It's been a long time since I watched this (and am not in a position to watch it all now), but my recollection is that it is built on a powerful and convincing but ultimately fallacious structure of presenting a related demonstrable fact followed by an unsustainable claim, giving the impression that as the first statement is proven then the second by extension must be true also.

Here's a video that refutes the Controlled Demolition theory that much of Loose Change hangs off

What many people fail to realize here, is that most of the core people delving into this, don't state conclusions about WHO did it, rather than focus on the over 800 bits of evidence that suggest the official story is just that... a story. Things like the fact that both towers 1 and 2 that were hit and #7 that wasn't, all fell directly into their 'own footprints' a feat only accomplished by the precise and exact art of demolition. (Now image 800+ more things just this 'wrong' and you're getting a clearer image). Where the "gov't did it' talk comes into it, is other people who take these questions and extrapolate from them that only people high up in office or what have you could perpetrate this if the story IS inaccurate, though there is little more than circumstantial evidence per.
Another thing is the Pentagon... the hole in the wall (before it collapsed) was only a few feet in diameter and there was virtually no wreckage of the HUGE plane at all and the ground in front of the hole had not even a scuff marks on it. All quite odd...
And per the refuting evidence... people were paid. Buildings (especially some of the tallest in the world) just DO NOT fall straight into their own footprint. Call a local demolition company and ask them the odds.

They really aren't that outrageous at all.

Operation Northwoods

My dad was sitting in a destroyer near Cuba during all this.

I fully believe this whole thing was an inside job and a reason to get to Iraq.

Downing Street Memo

Too many questions for me, as Dr Nothing said. The building demolitions, the lack of a plane at the pentagon and even LESS planes or bodies at Shanksville.....

Numerous incidents preceding the attack indicate many people had advance knowledge of the attack.

Put Options
Stock trades bet on the fall in share values for the two airlines whose planes were used in the attack.

Put options purchases on United Airlines and American Airlines stock rose to four and 25 times normal levels in the days preceding the attack.

Avoidance of the Airlines, the WTC, and the Pentagon

Government officials and executives avoided the targets of the attack.

Pentagon officials canceled travel plans on September 10th.

San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown received a warning not to fly on September 10th.

Scotland Yard prohibited Salman Rushdie from flying on September 11th.

Two employees of Odigo, the instant messaging service, received e-mail warnings of the attack two hours before the first assault on the WTC.

Business executives, some of whom worked in the WTC, were in Nebraska to attend a meeting at Offutt Air Force Base hosted by billionaire Warren Buffett on the morning of September 11th. The same base would be visited later that day by George W. Bush.

I believe it was an inside job....

I love you TraumaMamma!! PUT opts are a GREAT indicator... There is SUCH a PLETHORA of this kind of stuff... just like JFK's magic, physics laws breaking single bullet. And let's not forget the mainly Jewish staffed offices that noticied all their employees at the WTC not to show up that day...

- A lot of stuff -

I believe it was an inside job....
Just for the record, I agree with you here, although I would tend to go down the line of large elements of the attack being allowed rather than explicitly carried out by Government agencies - just based on precedent alone, that is far more likely.

What I was saying above is that I don't give much creedence to Loose Change - it is a bad documentary that uses techniques of deception just as bad as those it seeks to expose, and ultimately that only helps the perpetrators.

Mmm, DrNothing, I love you too! ;)

All I want is for people to think for themselves, look at the hard facts and make their own decisions...not base them on what our gov't tells us.

I am not a big fan of loose change, per se...there are much better documentaries out there....

Conspiracy's form in the vacuum of misinformation and lack of information.

I build structures and have some knowledge of axial loads, bending moments, calculating wind loads...
I also have friends and a family member who are engineers.
The science and math of structural engineering is extremely complex, the WTC is well beyond what most engineers could handle and was, in some aspects, even experimental in structure, with regards to catastrophic events.

Professor Bazant's paper is the second from the top called WTC collapse, what did and did not cause it

As far as the other things mentioned, I haven't really thought much about them. I mean, Bush and his administration have repeatedly f**ked up this Iraq war from the beginning, mistake after mistake... but I am suppose to believe that they were able to pull off this brilliant conspiracy.

Some people think that 9/11 was an inside job.
Some people think that we never walked on the moon.

Both are equally intelligent.

The concept that 9/11 was an inside job is beyond insane. Of course some people fall for it, because there is always those who believe that the government is out to get them, that the government is secretly controlled by some sort of cabal or perhaps aliens from Roswell who are preventing engines running on water or that get 400 miles per gallon, etc.

The fact that some are so quick to believe such silly conspiracy fantasies, based on made up statements, backed by no real evidence is a sad example of humanity.

See, this is the kind of stuff that really irks me. We aren't talking about aliens or paranoia, but discussing facts. But anyone who hates a conspiracy theorist, will start to attack our character and label us looney.

I hate it when it gets to that level, any idea of having an intelligent debate is lost. I suppose it's far easier to make us look nuts than it is to listen to what is said.

Ground Zero was the site of one of the largest evidence destruction operations in history. It was the scene of the mass murder of nearly 3000 people. Believing the official myth that Osama bin Laden's cells of hijackers piloted the 767s into the Twin Towers does little to diminish the importance of the remains of the towers and Building 7 as evidence, since the collapse of these three skyscrapers contradicts the entire history of engineered steel structures. Yet the remains of these buildings were systematically removed and destroyed, and their examination was rendered impossible.

The largest crime scene in the history of the United States and we quickly got rid of the evidence.

Agreed, when too many questions are not adequately answered or in some cases not answered at all you have to speculate as to why? The London bombings have yet to be officially investigated.

Paranoid? No one is calling you paranoid. Just because you believe that there was a SuperSecret Underground Cabal of Government SuperVillians who somehow masterminded the most incredibly devious plot ever, a plot which took vast amounts of intelligence, know-how, 10's of thousands of co-conspirators, who also made it even a more ingenious plan by making the american people feel that the government was a bunch of incompetent idiots who couldn't tie their shoes together, who somehow were able to accomplish all this because they want to make some money instead of the fact the there are radical sects of Muslims who feel that it is their sacred duty to kill non-believers and especially the GreatSatan for supporting Israel doesn't mean you are paranoid. No, no one said that at all.

We do listen to those who make these claims, every single one of them has been refuted and proven to be fallacies. No one is trying to make those believers are loonies. There has been tons of intelligent debate already. Some people have made up their minds already and refuse to believe anything but what they want to believe.

Too late TraumaMamma, Too late..
I am not a conspiracy theorist. Spare me the ravers. Spare me the plots. But like everyone else, I would like to know the full story of 9/11, not least because it was the trigger for the whole lunatic, "war on terror" which has led us to disaster in Iraq and Afghanistan and in much of the Middle East. Bush's happily departed adviser Karl Rove once said that "we're an empire now – we create our own reality". True?

My final argument – a clincher, in my view – is that the Bush administration has screwed up everything – militarily, politically diplomatically – it has tried to do in the Middle East; so how on earth could it successfully bring off the international crimes against humanity in the United States on 11 September 2001? On the other hand hasn't the U.S. Administration and U.K. Governments politically benefited from these crimes?

True, everything you said I agree with, except for the fact that it's "too late"....I am not nuts, either.

One cannot spare you the plot if you wish to know the story.
