I don't think that outfit is too revealing (thanks for the pic, gymclothes), but again, how are they wearing them. Not so much with this chick, but I'd wager the one from Today show wasn't wearing her outfit the same way, while boarding, than she did on the flight.

Any company has the right to refuse service to a customer or make reasonable requests of them in order to continue service.
You don't have to agree with SW's policy here but it is their right to ask that you wear a blanket.

People should be more concerned with what their CHILDREN wear on a daily basis.

You don't have to agree with SW's policy here but it is their right to ask that you wear a blanket. This is true--but said policy needs to EXIST. It doesn't. They don't have a dress standard. Girls are being targetted by employees that are enforcing a PERSONAL standard, not a company policy. Not to mention, there are a multitude of ways to approach someone, and it sounds like these people are not making these requests in a polite fashion. Being rude to a customer is also their right, but it's damn shoddy business.

If I find it borderline offensive to see the gut of an obese man hanging out from under his t-shirt - may I request he be covered or removed from the flight? No! I wouldn't expect an airline to cover him up, nor would I request he be removed from the flight (although I may request to move seats if he's taking up both his and mine). It's silly that they're targeting young women, when really the entire populace is guilty of fashion assault. What about the frumpy old ladies who wear spandex pants? That could be considered provocative (although since they're generally not attractive women, no one cares).
In my opinion, if they want to enforce a dress code, they ought to have that dress code on display online, at ticket sales, and at the check-ins - so there's no mistakes to be made.
Lynda White, who teaches etiquette classes and calls herself "The First Lady of Manners," said many young people have gotten lax on what to wear and how to act — possibly influenced by Hollywood stars. She recommends "business-casual" outfits for the plane because you might be seated next to a potential employer or business contact.
I actually agree with her on this one, though.

I have a couple halter tops. They're not comfortable. They're certainly not something I'd was to be wearing while stuck on a plane for hours. And if some hott guy was picking me up at the airport, I'd put on the sexy clothes in the bathroom before getting off the plane.
Also, until our government enforces a public dress code for it's citizens, screw you, Southwest Airlines, I'm wearing the shirt that shows off my awesome boobs!
