How valid is this article? I've heard lots of rumors about the touch screen ipod (and even one great movie), but they've always been debunked.

This isn't the first place I have heard the touchscreen IPod mentioned...I would be surprised to find out it's a rumor - and tres dissapointed.

I'm a regular visitor of MANY Mac rumour sites, and rumours of a touch screen iPod have been around for over a year now. 'Extremely well informed execs' have on 5 or 6 occasions in the past year said "It'll be released at this show next week", but alas, they're always wrong.

Hype has been building up a LOT recently in a) the run up to Christmas, b) the impending doom of Zune, c) the release of downloadable movies on iTunes, and finally, d) the announcement from Apple of their TV top box to be released next year, dubbed, the iTV.

The pictures on Trusted Reviews (normally such a good site) are photoshopped and have been around for ages.

To bore you further, the iPhone is a guaranteed release... Unfortunatly Apple themselves are the only people not to guarantee it, but with all the information flowing about, it's mere months away from release... AND I WANT ONE!!
