The "Amero" is plausible as a "boarderless currency," but I can't really see the fiercely patriotic Americans ditching their heritage to combine with two other countries. At least, not the fiercely patriotic Americans I grew up with. While not patriotic by any means, the Canadians I'm related to wouldn't want any part of it either.

yuck. conspiracy nuts love to jump all over things. Just because europe uses the euro doesn't mean they're all one country. A unified currency would certainly be all over EVERY news channel if it was a looming possibility. I just hope they don't actually use this design.
