Self Destruction, Diseases of the Modern Man
Self Destruction, Diseases of the Modern Man
In 1997, Robert Smith, a Scottish surgeon amputated a perfectly healthy lower left leg. This was not a medical error as you might think, but a voluntary amputation. The patient didn’t feel like the limb was part of his body and requested the amputation so that he could finally feel normal. It may seem incredible but 2 years after the surgery he declared that his life changed for the better after the amputation. picked by pepersconc 1 year ago

At first i was tempted to say that they are mad for thinking, doing this, but that again there are so many crazy diseases out there that nothing is weird anymore.

Back in the old days man had to hunt in order to live, weekly probably, he had to fight animals and all that stuff he didn't had time to "invent" disease in his head. Now we have all thing on our plates, food, fun, anything. We had to invent crazy diseases to stop the boring life...humans are so dumb sometimes, including me.
