Illegal immigrants in America get the red carpet laid out for them. They can come here and get free education, health care and an automatic citizenship for every child they can bear here.

In Mexico, Illegal Immigration is NOT tolerated. It is a felony. It has at the very least 2 years of jail time. I assume jail in mexico isn't as much fun as the country clubs in America where you can sue if you don't get a wide variety of puddings. You could end up doing 10 years or more. There will also be hefty fines.

I really wouldn't suggest it.

Well, both of my parents illegally immigrated into this country in the 70's. Both are now US citizens. It was tough for them and the US was an opportunity for a better life for themselves and our family. This isn't some recent thing, this has been going on for YEARS.

Why all this attention now? It's a distraction to the real problems of the world. Do you really think a wall is going to stop people with a goal, with no other alternative but to take a desperate, dangerous mission? Our government is throwing half-assed solutions AND explanations, while completely ignoring the root cause of the situation. All its led to is a fortified hate and a negative view of our people.

So why don't they put any REAL effort into preventing this?

Cheap, efficient, hard-working labor and the kidies are potential soldiers.

It is in the govs and corporations interest to keep this machine going and thus the rich get richer, our standard of living drops and we all end up bickering amongst ourselves over prejudice convictions.

I agree that illegal immigrants do not just come from Mexico, but it is the only country that we share a border with that we can see how they are getting here. Leaving a trail of garbage doesn't help either. KillerBean's parents came here illegally but eventually became citizens, bravo for them. Many who come here illegally (not just Mexicans) do so without the slightest desire to become citizens but still want us to give them support when they need health care, housing, and numerous other things. Being the "nice" country we are more than willing to give it to them, and if we didn't we would be labeled sadistic or worse, racist.

When I did it I would definitely carry photocopies or originals of documents that prove my American citizenship, social security, etc. So when I got caught, it would probably just really really confuse the border patrol.
