I'll bet she's not going to sue or turn this into a racial thing.

There's a woman on my floor that I wish would get fired for her perfume. It gives me migraines. I can't stand it. I want to replace it with something better when she leaves her office. Any time she sprays it throughout the day, my head starts pounding and I need to walk away.

I hear ya syke. I can't stand it when people wear an entire bottle of their favorite cologne. It's one thing to spray a few times at the pulse points, but to suffocate your co-workers/customers is another story. If you are wearing that much it defeats the purpose! It is supposed to be subtle.

You should tell her that you are allergic to her perfume.
My aunt got in hospital because she has allergic reaction to the OldSpice aftershave of one of her coworkers.

I'm tempted to go the route of telling her that <flirty voice> every time I smell her perfume it captivates me to walk into her room and profess my desire to... </flirty voice> <psychotic voice> put a .12 gauge shotgun in my mouth and blow my brains all over her shirt! </angry voice> <normal voice> But that's just me. </normal voice>

In February, she was fired because, her boss said, she'd been the subject of three customer complaints the previous week.

There you have it! She got three complaints against her. Thats why she got fired, the perfume thing just added fuel to the flames. Case closed! BTW, Red Door is extemely potent...not a fragrance for sensitive noses.

I always wear some sort of cologne but I never douse myself. I usually use just enough to cover up any possible stank. I have never had anyone complain about the cologne.

I have run into many people that make my eyes water from the fumes coming off of them. I am usually pretty irritated by strong scents. Walking though the soap aisle at the store is usually enough to give me a headache. I wish people would learn to just not over do it with their scents.

Hey guys, I'm a terribly sensitive person who over compensates by doing what I can to annoy others. I got fired for it so now its a race issue. Give me free money I didn't earn. Thanks.

I just don't get people. This story made me think of one of my dear friends who happens to be black.

When I was working in the hospital (I was a phlebotomist before the 911 gig) I ran into her on the floor and she pulled me aside...

She totally cracked me up all the time.

Anyways, she goes..."Girl, I went out last nite and had a rough nite and barely got up to make it to work today....Do I smell like a *insert N word here*?"

Yes, she said that.

I started busting up laughing and I told her...

"I don't know, darlin....what does one smell like?" Then she started laughing.

I wish everyone was as easy to talk to and get along with as she is.

Just don't know why it has to be about race. I don't see black, white, asian, hispanic. I see PEOPLE.

My mom works in an office where there is a woman that wears an insane amount of perfume. My mom has gone home sick because of this woman. Headaches and nausea.....
This woman was asked to stop wearing her perfume and she did. Now.......

She wears lotion that smells just as much.

There is no reason to marinate in the stuff and people do it all the time.

I was on an airplane once and the woman in front of me was pungent. I just don't get it. If you are wearing enough for ME to get ill, how is it you can stand yourself?

And WHY oh WHY does it always have to be the race card??? Why???

Everyone in all races should see what you see but sadly to many thing get in the way.
I'm exactly the type of Brother you can talk to. Bieng Black or African Americna if you will doesn't make me hate everyone or one race.

I just happen to be open to accepting all people for who and what they really are people!
