A bumblebee which died out in the UK, but survived in New Zealand after being shipped there more than 100 years ago, is to be reintroduced here under plans announced today.
Gammans said the main reason for the decline in bumblebee species in the UK, where many are under threat and several are "on the brink", was the destruction of habitat and wildflowers.

A Norway Boeing 737 from Norway to Spain had to return to Gardermoen Airport after the airspeed indicators started to disagree shortly after take-off. The airplane landed safely about 35 minutes after departure.
Mechanics found a bumble-bee had struck and embedded itself into one of the pitot tubes of the airplane after take-off, effectively blocking that dynamic port of the pitot system.

$387 million says a LOT of people liked the movie, but that doesn't automatically mean it is without its flaws...flaws of a very "Michael Bay" variety. Topless Robot wants us to consider the alternate view, beyond just 'turning our brains off' to watch it.
