Interview with the President of Iran
Interview with the President of Iran
Regardless of the boogie man persona he's been associated with, he makes reasonable arguments. Long, but watch it if you are so inclined and make your own conclusions. picked by KillerBean 1 year ago

...There are no homosexuals in Iran...

...Israel should be wiped of the map...

...the Holocaust is a myth...

"reasonable arguments"... maybe we have a different idea of what "reasonable" means.

Maybe you could have watched the video first before posting.

Am I wrong? Did he say those things?

No... then what's the problem?

The problem is that you did not bother watching the interview which was the reason I posted the link. You have these preconceived notions of the man, because of these widespread quotes. I was only entertaining the thought of letting the man explain himself instead of hearing an opinion formed for you from random fox news talking head #3.

Watch, listen, contemplate, then come at me however you wish.

Did you actually watch this, or just comment on the few crazy things he's noted for saying. Watch it, then comment... He actually DOES make many good points. No one is all this or all that. Think, please...

Problem is those aren't the ONLY things he's said... Your knee-jerk reactionary responce shows how well things have benn ingrained into you. Learn.... expand.... think....

Look... I'm not going to watch the video... I don't have the hour to dedicate to it.

However, I have already seen the quotes I mentioned above.

And I'm sorry... someone who doubts the existence of the Holocaust, isn't getting a lot of "benefit of the doubt" from me.

Additionally, someone who two weeks ago said with a straight face (no pun intended) that there were no homosexuals in his country (and then conveniently edited out that question and answer from the re-broadcast in his home country), again doesn't get much of my attention.

If you're suggesting that he may have some valid points about... well, I don't know what... fine. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

So tell me what you think he said is valid... we'll talk about those. Until then, the news reports I've seen have told me all I feel I need to know about this man. If you think I'm misguided... defend those quotes, and outline his ideas.

I like that you threw in that little jab about FOX. I assume that you've actually seen what they've said about Ahmadinejad... and not just relying on what other "random talking heads" have told you.

And that right there is exactly what I'm trying to say. You can't really make a judgement call on a man if you don't even bother to hear what he has to say in his defense, but listen to somebody else give you their take on it ... without of course having to compromise your extremely valuable time.

I was just making a point, that television news programs arent the most reliable source of news due to the fact that they have to entertain an audience with bite size pieces that capture attention, such as "Israel should be wiped off the map" without mentioning that it itself was a quote from someone else, not to mention it's original meaning (before translation) lends itself open to interpretation.

Whatever ... the nation seems to be on a collision course to yet ANOTHER war ... maybe, just maybe we should give this man some serious consideration, lest we "liberate" another reluctant nation of people from its "tyrannical leader".

George Dub :There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again
Oh yeah! Them quoted quotes sure are catchy! Ain't that right, Dubya?!
