As a human being, this disturbs me.

As a former Marine, this infuriates me. Anyone who commits these crimes should not have the honor of being called a Marine.

Sounds quite like what I advocate for in police domestic violence situations, actually.

The choice of reporting is ultimately left up to the victim, but when so many claim that nothing will happen to their rapist especially if their attacker is an officer, there exists a real problem.

This happens all too often. Furthermore the focus is always on the women that they are trying to ruin his career. Focus is always on the abusers ability to hold his job and victims are pushed aside.

As if the trauma of what they have been thru is not enough, they are put in yet another position to defend themselves again, to a public that cares more about the abusers rights than theirs.

This happened to me while I was in the Marines. When I reported it, I was held on charges of disrespect to a superior. It sucked.

Now I'm waiting for the VA to decide on my PTSD case. They say my attack wasn't in my records. I asked did they even READ my records?
