At a guess, the reason it says they won't last long is because it's a rights violation to have them scanned and posted. Watterson never signed any deals to publish anything other than the books, so all the C&H t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc are rip-offs. I'd imagine this is the same.

Sites like this probably increases sales of the books. It is basically free advertising.

Yes, you could go to each page and print out the strips. This would take forever and would probably more expensive than just buying the books in the first place. It is a good site to catch up on a few strips and remember those hilarious moments.

No, you shouldn't. Pdf's of the books are widely available already. The books are inexpensive (other than the gift set recently released) they can also be bought used.
