Revealed: Britain, 100 years ago - in living colour
These remarkable photographs show Britain at the dawn of the 20th century in a way that has never been seen before. A photographic record of the country in 1900, from Clacton Pier to Dumfries, the delicate colours bring the scenes to life in what was then a revolutionary photographic technique invented by the Swiss printer Orell Fussli. picked by AutumnLotus 1 year ago

Good find, Autumn! When we were traveling across the country we stopped in Ohio where my friend lives. We went to the Annie Oakley museum and there was a picture of their town square from way back when...and today it really hasn't changed much. Very cool.
