Piles of old money found in Pa. home
Talk about throwing away money. Piles of old coins worth as much as $200,000 were found in a long-abandoned home, including scores that the owner had apparently thrown down a hole in the wall. picked by AutumnLotus 1 year ago

My great-grandmother did that. During the early stages of her dementia, she hid wads of cash around her house in odd places. My grandparents sold her house a year ago; the new owners are still finding money.

That's awesome. I helped my girlfriend uncle rip up his floor to install a new one and the old layers went back to the 1800's. There were alot of old coins, stamps and bottle caps under there. I have some at home, but haven't bothered to check if they're worth anything.

Interesting how they mention that the location isn't being disclosed. :p

The only thing I discovered when I went on the hunt in my house was a grill pan and an empty pineapple tin - the sole contents of my attic.
