We all heard Radiohead's experiment allowing people to download their album at whatever price they felt was reasonable, including $0. They averaged £1.08 per download, but the number of downloads thew it over the £1,000,000 level.

The band have let fans decide what to pay for the 10 MP3 files - from nothing to £100.

Taking a cue from Radiohead's very successful plan, Steve Hofstetter, "The Thinking Man's Comic" is offering downloads of his new live album at whatever price you feel it is worth (minimum 1 cent).
The experiment has netted him more than triple what he would have gotten from a standard record contract.
