A teenager shot another teenager because he was standing still on an escalator and not walking. I always thought the point of escalators was to save you from needing to walk, but please don't shoot me!

sadly this is not an isolated or unusual incident. Shooting another person for trivial reasons has become the favorite pasttime in many cities.

If you are going to be a punk and shoot someone for something trivial, you could at least be smart enough to do it somewhere less crowded then a mall.

If you ride on the Washington DC Metro system you must remember the rule, Walk Right, Stand Left. If you don't know that rule you will be constantly chastised if not run over. I never heard of someone being shot over it. That is just wrong.

I use escalators every day, and usually, I'm in a hurry. There's a big sign saying "Walk left, stand right" on every single escalator in town. Nevertheless, there's always one asshat standing left and jamming it all.
I must confess that I often think that if I just shot one of those every single day for a whole week, I might change the world a little bit to the better. Sorry.

I too frequently think about shooting people standing idly in front of me. Don't think I ever would though. If they were standing idly in front of me and they had a crying baby and were talking on a cell phone though, that might push me over the edge. You only get one free chance in my book!
