In fact, Otis Redding recorded "(sitting on) the dock of the bay" only THREE DAYS before he died. I love the song and find it really sad that he never got to see what a hit it would be with people.

Agree. I live near that bay. Everytime I hear that song, I can smell the bay...no joke intended.
