There are LOTS of things in the "Hello Kitty" toy series that 5 year old kids don't NEED. If it was cost effective I'm sure there would be a "Hello Kitty" Prius, or a "Hello Kitty" garter set, or a "Hello Kitty" beer cozy, branding is branding, and Sanrio brands ANYTHING.
