Is the elephant OK??

There were two lives involved here but apparently only one is important enough to mention. Sad.

I'm sorry for the employee and any family but it is just one more reason that the animals should be left where they belong, in their natural home. (The tiger that killed when he escaped recently is another example!)

I am sure the elephant survived. He probably didn't even get injured. A mere fall from a truck isn't a high enough drop to cause too much damage, I would think. Heck, it wasn't even as high as the truck, he was being lowered when he fell on the guy. He might have sprained something, got some severe bruising, etc at the very most. (I am assuming)

Even the man who died, died from a heart attack, not being crushed by an elephant. Yes, the heart attack was brought on by the elephant, but the fall didn't kill the man directly.

I would bet that the elephant is doing fine and being treated quite well. I assume (wild guess) that the elephant is more valuable to the owners than the employee was.
